Rev. Owens is a graduate of Southeastern College of the Assemblies of God in Lakeland, Florida.  He is married to Louise, a retired school teacher from Arkadelphia, Alabama.  They have 2 married children, Wanda and Mark, and 3 grandchildren, Tracy Graves, Benjamin Owens, and Rebecca Owens.  Rev.  Owens pastoral ministry of 20 years includes AG churches in Florida and Alabama.  Prior to moving to Athens, he taught at the Global University Study Center in Huntsville, AL.
