He has served the body of Christ for twenty-seven years as a revivalist/evangelist and in pastoral ministry, and is currently lead pastor at New Life Assembly of God, Athens, AL. He serves on several boards and executive committees in the Assemblies of God and within the Athens-Limestone County (AL) faith community. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO.
Asa and Adela Parnell are serving as Youth Pastor while they itnerate and prepare for their journey as missionary associates to the jungles of Ecuador. They will be joining the JMT (jungle missionary team) lead by Joil and Leah Marbut. The JMT focuses on church planting, discipleship, and the Ecuador Hope House (a girls home for Shuar girls).
